Sano is back in the seaside resort of Izu. He seems absent from himself and his surroundings, from everything but the red hat that he is stubbornly looking for. He is searching for a sign, a trace of something that could corroborate an event that happened here five years earlier so as to reincarnate its memory. Super Happy Forever responds to his quest just as day responds to night. As cinema replaces the spectre of loss with the dazzling spectre of a dance of signs, beings and places. Izu, five years before: Nagi appears and for Sano, who knows it without knowing, nothing will be the same as before.
