The Ba Do couple, liaison officers for the revolutionary forces, live with their baby in a shack in the middle of the Plaine des Joncs, an immense expanse of near-desert water. Facing aerial bombardment day and night, these three human beings are about to wage a fierce battle against the ultra-modern American war machine. The enemy intends to turn the region into a wasteland, to stifle the will to fight of an entire people against foreign invasion. But the guerrillas cling to their battered land to keep the communications network going, whatever the cost.
