Aida Ashenafi recounts the experiences of two Addis-Abeba city dwellers that for the first time spend 20 days in a small Ethiopian village. Over a 20-day course both the urbanites and country folks are forced to confront stereotypes about each other. Cutting between interviews with the four major protagonists and scenes of daily life depicting small but heartfelt celebrations, the stoic manner with which the farmers confront their daily tasks and the beautiful but demanding landscape, in which they live. A rare picture of life in the Ethiopian countryside.
