Triad bosses K and George seek conciliation after an eight-month feud but trouble is just beginning again. The word on the street is that K is offering a $5 million hidden reward for George’s life. Macau cop Sam, who works for the K syndicate, handles the reward contenders one by one. Suddenly the mysterious bald-headed Yiu and a woman faking madness arrive in town.
Disconcertingly violent, this is undoubtedly the darkest crime thriller that Milkyway has produced. The editing is admirable: with tension and counterpoint throughout, it sinks the film into a continually offbeat atmosphere, where irreconcilable worlds come up against each other.
