Kinuko, a married 29-year-old woman, is involved in a relationship with a 43-year-old office worker, Kouhei. On Tuesdays, she has dinner with him and they stay at a hotel together. She can date him only on Tuesdays as he spends all his time with his family except on Tuesdays. One day, she gets to know Manabe, a street-poet, and Hijiri, a woman who is staying in Manabe’s apartment. Hijiri keeps rebuking her, “It’s wrong for you to have a extramarital affair”. The following day, Hijiri tumbles into Kinuko’s room, after being turned out of Manabe’s apartment. She puts all her energy into nursing Kinuko who has a cold, though Kouhei comes to her and drives Hijiri out of the room. A few days later, Hijiri moves next door to her…
