Shimazu, a professional photographer, is bereaved of his beloved wife, Yoko, and now lives alone in Tokyo. Yoko died of the malignant hysteromyoma in the 11th year of their marriage. Peering through the viewfinder of his camera, he stands on the porch, reminiscing of his married life with Yoko, his thoughts continually drifting back to their most difficult time together…
