In a popular neighbourhood of yurts facing Oulan Bator’s skyscrapers, Zé and his family lead an austere life. He studies hard at college, whilst acting as a shaman for his community. His encounter with Marla shakes his convictions by offering him other perspectives, but this exalts Zé as much as it troubles him. Perhaps his seemingly prophetic visions are the simplest expressions of his desire… While he searches for his true place in the world, this character’s moving wisdom anchors this first feature-film in a deep tone that, although shrouded in disillusion, overcomes this bitter pleat to lead us down another road, that of a considered evolution at the turn of adolescence.
