Aysel, a literature teacher is appointed to a small sea shore town. She meets Fuat who has just become engage to a rich industrialist’s daughter, Belgin. Fuat’s family that was rich once has lost it’s wealth, thus forcing Fuat to make this marriage. Fuat is interested in Aysel immediately. Meanwhile Bedri, a painting teacher has also grown an interest for Aysel. However, Bedri, unable to realise his ambitions in this provincial town is rejected by Aysel. He goes to sea ans commits suicide…
