One stormy night, a man dies alone, at the âge of 62. He dies a lonely man who only a few have understood ; he dies a confused man who clings to the edge of many différent worlds, none of which he belongs to. He left his family early to many into his wife’s family in northern Taïwan. He left to fulfill his obligations as a loving father and a dedicated husband. But somehow, he failed to live up to expectations. None of his children understand his unyielding loyalty to far-away Japan.
