Unni is a little boy who lives in a village in Kerala. He belongs to the superior caste of the Nairs. His friends Raju, Ramu and Gopi, who go to school with him, are members of the lowest caste of all, that of the “untouchables”. The film deals with the relationship between these children and their mutual discovery of the world around them.
