The year is 1923. In a small town by the Visayan Sea, the Pulajanes revolutionary movement has been revived. Earlier, when the Americans captured and killed Papa Martin, the movement’s leader, the group was disbanded. But the situation bas not changed under the American rule. Poverty and agrarian injustice lead to the resurrection of the movement under the leadership of a certain Kapitan Pablo and Santo Kristo, a fanatic who imitates Christ with the mission of enlightening the oppressed…
