After winning numerous prizes at many film festivals for his short films, Park Jung-bum completed his debut feature The Journals of Musan in 2009. The film premiered in 2010 at the Busan International Film Festival, where it won both the New Currents Award and the FIPRESCI Award. His second film Alive (Sanda, 2014) was presented in Locarno.
