Kohei IGARASHI

Born in 1983 in Shizuoka Prefecture. He directed his first feature film, Yorai Fuyu no Koe (2008) while studying at Zokei University in Tokyo. His second, Breathless (2014), a final work at the Tokyo University of the Arts film school, was selected for the 67th Locarno Film Festival. The Night I Swam (2017), co-directed with French filmmaker Damien Manivel, was presented in the Orizzonti section at Venice as well as at numerous festivals. In 2023, he presented the short film Two of Us at the San Sebastian festival, a sort of prequel to Super Happy Forever.
